Golf in Los Cabos, México

Within a few years, Los Cabos became one of the major golf destinations in Latin America. Located at the tip of the Baja peninsula, the magnificent terrain is comparable to that found in Arizona and California desert courses. What sets Los Cabos apart is the presence of the Sea of Cortéz, a sparkling water-wonderland of incredible hues reaching as far south as the eye can see. Golfers have an added bonus - eleven months of rain-free play.

Los Cabos has been the site of the PGA Senior Slam Tournament since 1995, attracting golf greats such as Raymond Floyd, Dave Stockman and Hale Irwin. Jack Nicklaus, Robert Trent Jones II and Dye Corporation, Tom Fazio, and M. Schjetnen are among the personalities who designed courses in Los Cabos. Spectacular golf courses, magnificent views of the Sea of Cortez, and the natural beauty of the desert elevated Los Cabos to its place in the international golf community.

Cabo del Sol

Designed by Jack Nicklaus, this 18-hole golf course has marvelous views of the Sea of Cortés likely to distract even the most well traveled golfer. The fifth hole is ranked as one of the top 100 par fours in the world. Its new 5000 sq. ft. clubhouse is unequaled anywhere in Mexico. Every golfer should play this once-in-a-lifetime course - seven holes stretch along one mile of incredible coastline on the Sea of Cortez. The course forms part of a large complex that will eventually include four hotels and homes.

Cabo Real

The Cabo Real is situated midway between San Jose and Cabo San Lucas. Its clubhouse and 18-hole 72 par golf course was designed by Robert Trent Jones II. The Cabo Real golf course has magnificent views and two holes on the Sea of Cortez. The course forms part of the Cabo Real complex that includes five luxury hotels.

El Dorado - Golf

Opened in 1999, this 18-hole golf course designed by Nicklaus has become a favorite among golfers. The El Dorado has six holes overlooking the Buenos Aires Beach on the Sea of Cortez. Its spectacular ocean views create a truly spectacular gold course. This golf course forms part of the Cabo Real complex that includes five luxury hotels.

Palmilla Golf Club

The Palmilla Golf Club, opened in December of 1992, is the first Jack Nicklaus signature course in Latin America. Palmilla offers golfers spectacular views of the Sea of Cortèz from nearly every hole. Surrounded by centuries-old cardon cacti and rugged desert mountains make each hole a memorable experience for golfers of every skill level.

Cabo San Lucas Country Club

The sensational Dye designed Raven Golf Club at Cabo San Lucas offers stunning fairway views of the Sea of Cortez. Enjoy the grand expanses of sprawling fairways and nine sparkling lakes. Playing areas are literally carved out of the mountain and desert terrain and fairways. This is an ideal course for all levels of players as well as a treat for the eyes.
